He has a long history of working in partnership with the private sector to find innovative solutions to pressing environmental issues in Pakistan.
Novumpack is the local partner of Cardia Bioplastics and the pioneer of compostable and eco-friendly plastic-free starch-based packaging in Pakistan.
Although Novumpack started its journey with eco-friendly packaging, it has now also added plastic-free single-use cutlery to its product portfolio, catering to the rapidly growing biodegradable market, in line with its vision.

This will include, but not be limited to, environmental awareness workshops for the corporate sector on waste recycling and eco-friendly workshops; educational campaigns in institutions across the country; and the development and promotion of plastic-free sustainable products and merchandise.
During the signing ceremony, Hammad Naqi Khan, Director General of WWF-Pakistan, said: “Economy and sustainability must go hand in hand. Businesses should opt for economically and commercially viable sustainable packaging materials, which can go a long way in reducing non-biodegradable plastic waste at source.
